Megan Thee Stallion’s ‘Lesbian Bodyguards’ Make Iconic Return At Coachella Weekend 2

Renée Rapp and Cara Delevingne once again flanked Megan Thee Stallion in perfectly queer formation.
Over the weekend, Renée Rapp and Cara Delevingne once again flanked Megan Thee Stallion like the most glamorous security detail Coachella has ever seen, reprising their “lesbian bodyguards” bit in what may be the most high-fashion (and sapphic) security team in history.
Delevingne herself dubbed the trio “The Lesbian Bodyguards” in an Instagram post featuring two photos: one from this year’s Coachella weekend two and another from January 2024. In both, she and Rapp are escorting Megan like it’s their job to keep her safe from all threats, especially straight ones.
At Coachella 2025, the trio strolled through the festival grounds looking like queer royalty on patrol. Megan wore a brown corseted top and micro leather shorts, her copper curls practically glowing. Rapp and Delevingne matched in laid-back festival gear: jean shorts, trucker hats, black boots, and matching blue zip-up jackets that had fans wondering if they’d signed an exclusive bodyguard contract with Hot Girl Enterprises.

The scene instantly evoked déjà vu. The second slide on Delevingne’s post was a throwback to January 2024, when the same trio was spotted post–SNL afterparty in New York, heading to Doux Supper Club after Megan joined Rapp onstage to perform their track “Not My Fault.” That night, Rapp and Delevingne rocked all-black outfits while Megan stunned in a sheer brown gown, blonde hair cascading past her shoulders. Fans immediately latched onto the visual, and the phrase “lesbian bodyguards” was born.
Rapp embraced the title, joking on Instagram at the time, “lesbian bodyguards (they can’t do anything but they’ll talk s—).” That might be true, but if vibes could stop paparazzi, Rapp and Delevingne would be licensed and lethal.

Megan and Rapp’s connection began with their Mean Girls collaboration, “Not My Fault,” where Megan declares herself the “Black Regina George” opposite Rapp’s ice-queen. From the SNL performance to meme-worthy recreations of the Spider-Man pointing moment alongside Rachel McAdams, the two have leaned hard into their chemistry.
“I love Reneé. As soon as I met her I was like, ‘Oh, you my friend. OK,’” Megan said at the Mean Girls premiere last year. Rapp has been just as effusive. In an interview with Extra, she didn’t hold back: “Actually, best ass I’ve ever seen in my life… I’ve actually never seen anything like this.”
As for whether “lesbian bodyguards” is now an annual event? We can only hope.
