Lucy Dacus Promised “Hot Mascs” In Her New Music Video And She Didn’t Disappoint
Dacus just dropped the music video for her new single “Best Guess,” featuring a slew of sexy mascs.
In case the hot mascs in your life have not already alerted you: Lucy Dacus is back with yet another viral sapphic single.
The singer’s latest release, “Best Guess,” dropped Monday afternoon with a star-studded music video, featuring Dacus and a cast of queer celebrities (and TikTok competition winners). The long-awaited video features Dacus, both the star and director, ogling the aforementioned gaggle of hot mascs as they work out, play poker, and shoot pool in (very boygenius-esque) black and white suits before breaking out into group choreography.

Who among us hasn’t dreamt of directing and starring in a video that surrounds us with hot sapphics showing off? We’re sweating just thinking about it.
Dacus teased the all-star lineup over the weekend with a video featuring herself alongside singer Towa Bird, MUNA guitarist Naomi McPherson, and Grey’s Anatomy star E.R. Fightmaster. She later posted a photo of the video’s full cast to X, which also includes Cara Delevingne.
But the cast isn’t entirely made up of celebrities. Last month, Dacus announced via TikTok that she was on the hunt for “hot mascs” to star in her upcoming music video and encouraged users to audition by submitting clips of themselves using the audio. After thousands on TikTok did just that, Dacus announced last week that she’d selected 12 favorites from the submission pool. The winners included popular TikTokers like @elioky and fan-favorites like self-described “Gen X masc” @giofosho.
