It is with profound shock and sadness that we announce the passing of most beloved member of both the GO and NYC Nightlife communities, Anastasia Ledwith– best known to so many as DJ Stacy. On Saturday morning at 2:45, Stacy was riding her gas powered scooter home on Manhattan’s Upper West side, when she was struck and killed by an oil delivery truck. She was 57 years old.
GO joins with Stacy’s adoring wife, Valerie, and both Stacy and Valerie’s families and friends in expressing our grief over the passing of one of NYC’s brightest lights.
Valerie has asked us to share that two wakes for Stacy will be held at the Cassidy Funeral Home in Mineola, NY on Wednesday March 6 from 2-5 pm and 7-9 pm. In the coming weeks and months, several of NYC’s prominent bar and club owners have expressed interest in holding Memorials for Stacy (details to follow).
GO will be dedicating our annual Pride Issue to our loving, hard working, and talented Stacy, whose energy, music, and kindness touched the lives of thousands.

As mom of DJ Stacy whom we tragically lost on March 2nd, I do so enjoy reading of the LGBTQ community events and accomplishments. We always supported Stacy’s being whoever God created. You all have loved us dearly since her death and we love you 😘
