The Dish: Bella Thorne Wants To Date A Girl, “Survivor” Contestant Gets Outed on Air

“What if I kiss a girl and she’s like ‘Oh, I’m just your friend dude, I can’t believe you just crossed that boundary’?”

Hey, you!

Zeke Smith was outed on this week’s episode of “Survivor” by a fellow competitor, Jeff Varner, who attempted to say Zeke was “deceptive” because he had not disclosed his being trans. Host Jeff Probst chimed in: “You’re saying that by not revealing it, he’s capable of deception. That’s a giant leap in logic. Do you not see that?” YOU’RE THE WORST, JEFF.

Lea DeLaria on why your resistance needs to include queer women. An excerpt:

I think when we talk about diversity, dykes should be included, especially when we’re talking about women’s rights. If we’re talking diversity, we are part of that conversation. I’m a proud and strong feminist who will always be visible and always be present and always be there for the fight, and I don’t like being ignored. I don’t want to see the feminist community split between liberal feminists, white feminists, and lesbian feminists. We need to remain together because we’re winning. We’re wearing them down. And we are doing that together. Women, trans women, queers, dykes, all of us together.

The New York Times details the need for more education when it comes to doctors servicing transgender patients.

Bella Thorne talks about her bisexual identity in Harper’s Bazaar. From the interview:

She has never dated a girl though, and would like to. “I’ve done other stuff with girls, but I really want to actually date a girl.” In between bites of salad, she theorizes on why it hasn’t happened for her yet (“maybe girls just don’t like me”), and admits she has a hard time reading signals from women. “I can’t tell if a girl is hitting on me or she just wants to be friends. And I don’t want to flirt with a girl if she thinks I’m just being her friend. What if I kiss a girl and she’s like ‘Oh, I’m just your friend dude, I can’t believe you just crossed that boundary.’ I’m confused on what they want from me.” When pressed, Thorne confesses she’d actually like to date Kristen Stewart. “She’s so hot. She seems like the raddest chick, I’d be so down.”

“When pressed?” That’s such a weird thing for a journalist to do. Just saying. Also, get in line, Bella Thorne.
