Hey Brooklynites, it’s that time of year again – BROOKLYN PRIDE! For over 25 years, Brooklyn Pride has been simultaneously the hottest and coolest Pride celebration in NYC. With so many events and so many chances to celebrate, you won’t want to miss a single second.
Start off your weekend early at Brooklyn’s chicest new dyke bar for queers, The Bush, as they host Caótica: Brooklyn Pride Edition presented by DJs Riobamba and Ushka and featuring fire guest DJ Dana Lu. Get ready for a sweaty, unofficial Brooklyn Pride commencement where everything goes. The party is Friday, June 9th at 10pm.
Brooklyn Pride events officially start on Saturday, June 10th. Kick off the celebration with a 5K LGBTQIA+ fun run! You’ll be joined by hundreds of runners from across NYC and beyond as you race through scenic and historic Prospect Park. The race starts at 10am, so you still have time to get your rest from the night before.
Following the 5K is the official Brooklyn Pride Festival and Mainstage from 11:00 am-5:00 pm. Come on down to Park Slope’s 5th Avenue to enjoy a cross-section of the borough’s business, community, and city-wide organizations. In addition to the vendors, there will be a fabulous entertainment stage at 4th Street displaying local, national, and international talent. Not only that, there will be a Family Fun Zone that features family activities, music, face painting, arts & crafts, story-time, and more!
Just because the festival is over doesn’t mean the Pride festivities are done; stick around for the Brooklyn Pride Parade, the ONLY twilight Pride parade in NYC. The parade will happen from 7:30-10pm on 5th Ave from Lincoln Place to 9th Street.
Looking for an afterparty? Check out the YES! Brooklyn Pride party at House of Yes presented by Whitney Day. Join the glorious cavalcade of Queers, friends, and lovers once again for an over-the-top, all-out expression of love, music, mind-bending visuals, and unadulterated freedom with a splash of glitter! Doors open at 10pm.
Wanna know where GO will be on June 10th? Find us at the photo booth at Hot Rabbit’s Brooklyn Pride Dance Party at 3 Dollar Bill. Join NYC’s hottest queer party collective for a night full of dance, music, art, and eye-popping performances featuring baddies from Honey Burlesque. Watch the fiercest vogue by legendary dancers from the Houses of Oricci and Babylon. Get down to your fave Hot Rabbit DJs, and watch incredible performances including drag, burlesque, vocalists, circus, and more! Party starts at 10 pm.
To top off the night, be sure to stop by the legendary lesbian bar Ginger’s and their new sister bar Mary’s to celebrate your Brooklyn Pride!
