BBC’s ‘I Kissed a Girl’ Set to Air Final Season This Summer
The premiere date for the reality dating series was just announced.

I Kissed a Girl is headed back to our screens as the BBC finally announced a premiere date for the second season of the reality dating series—just in time for Pride.
For fans of the show, it’s been a long wait since season one originally dropped back in May 2024. There, we watched ten queer women flock to the Italian Masseria, meet their hopeful matches with a kiss, and see if romance can bloom between them over the course of the show. Of course, it wouldn’t be a proper reality dating show without a series of eliminations, which also paved the way for new contestants to come try their luck at love.
Season two promises more of the same. Dannii Minogue will return as host, while Charley Marlowe reprises her role as narrator (although the show has also teased a special in person appearance from the presenter this season.
The downside is that this season of the show will also be its last. Not long after dropping the trailer earlier this year, the BBC has announced that the whole franchise—both I Kissed a Girl and the earlier series, I Kissed a Boy—was being axed due to budget issues. It’s a tragic loss, considering these were the UK’s very first all-queer dating shows.
But let’s not get ahead of ourselves. I Kissed a Boy already took its final bow last summer, but before fans of the sapphic spin-off say goodbye, there’s still a whole new season to watch. The series will premiere on BBC Three on Tuesday, June 23, with the first four episodes dropping on BBC iPlayer earlier that day. It will continue airing weekly until the finale on July 14, effectively keeping us all in the Pride spirit for a couple extra weeks beyond June.
