13 Reasons Olivia Rodrigo’s Daisy Chain Fields Festival Is Giving Us FOMO

We’re so jealous of everyone who got to go!

Olivia Rodrigo’s inaugural Daisy Chain Fields Music Festival took place on Saturday, and it was an unquestionable success.

When Rodrigo first announced her women-centric festival, the line-up alone was enough to send people rushing to buy tickets. Artists spanning generations of influence, from Bikini Kill to Chappell Roan, Garbage to Doechii, Stevie Nicks to Rodrigo herself, it was the kind of line-up every music festival dreams of.

But the first year of something like this is always tricky. A lot can go wrong, and bad publicity can tank all the future years of a festival in a heartbeat.

That was not the case for Daisy Chain Fields. All weekend, our timelines were filled with attendees praising every aspect of the festival. Not only did they get to enjoy performances from truly iconic artists, but they also reported back that the festival design took great care to make sure attendees were safe and comfortable throughout the event.

The FOMO is real, but fortunately, Daisy Chain Fields 2027 appears to already be a go. In the meantime, let’s check out some of the best moments from the beginning of a promising annual tradition.

Olivia Rodrigo and Stevie Nicks’ “Landslide” duet

Getting Stevie Nicks at your festival is a major win. Performing one of her most iconic songs with her is next level. 

2. Chappell Roan performing “HOT TO GO!”

3. Doechii’s all-pink getup

Doechii went all-out for her set, hammering home the theme of “women” by just straight up turning herself pink for the moment.

4. This lesbian engagement

Spotting a proposal at a music festival is basically a right of passage, but it’s just so fitting that it was women getting engaged at this particular event. Congrats!

Although not on the original line-up, Morisette made a surprise appearance to perform “Ironic” with Rodrigo. Swoon!

Hanna spoke her mind during Bikini Kill’s set, and we wouldn’t have it any other way.

KATSEYE had to pull out of the event after one of their members suffered an injury during rehearsals, but a couple of them still came by to show their support!

Seeing celebrities out and about at concerts isn’t exactly a unique phenomenon. But there’s always a clear divide between those who just show up because they got comped tickets and had nothing better to do and those who are having an absolute blast. Watson was caught on camera falling squarely into the latter category, delighting fans.

Have we mentioned how successful this event was? It’s often hard to get a clear picture of just how well attended the festival was from the individual videos of performances, but images captured of the full crowd were awe-inspiring.

11. The protestors

It would be wonderful if we could live in a world where people universally respected a woman’s right to choose, but we all know that’s not our current reality. We also know that you know you’re at the right kind of event when whiny conservatives are protesting outside.

12. The charitable outcome

According to Rodrigo, every artist who performed at Daisy Chain Field did so without making any profit. 100% of the net proceeds were marked for charity from the start, and by the end of the event, that number had reached $10 million. Rodrigo ultimately announced that the amount had doubled after Melinda French Gates offered to match it, bringing the total donation to the various charities partnered with the festival to a whopping $20 million.

13. Women everywhere

Of course, men were welcome at Daisy Chain Fields, but it was definitely a festival dominated by women and girls. And that alone makes this an event worth protecting for years to come!
