Queer Celebrities Took Over The 2024 Met Gala

Our favorite gay celebrities took to the iconic Met Gala red carpet Monday night and turned out some major looks.

This year’s theme was ‘Sleeping Beauties: Reawakening Fashion’, reflecting the new exhibition’s name. The dress code ‘The Garden of Time’ brought many flowers and long whimsical drapes to the carpet. But no one does it like the gays. Scroll to find your favorite look of the night.

1. Dove Cameron

Dove Cameron stunned in a dramatic sheer dress with flower appliques, from Diesel, complete with long blonde locks and a bold red lip. Dove, who is bisexual, appeared on the arm of Maneskin frontman Damiano David.

2. Queen Latifah

Queen Latifah was certainly living up to her name last night, serving some serious royalty in Thom Browne. She donned a long puffy coat with a sexy black dress underneath. She was joined by her partner Eboni Nichols.

3. Willow Smith

Willow Smith showed up on the arm of their brother Jaden, wearing a Dior loose suit jacket and hair wrap. Their long legs were on display, strutting down the carpet.

Janelle Monáe was dripping in opulence last night. Her custom Vera Wang crystal-like dress seemingly cascaded down her body and trailed behind her. It was all topped off with a few cut-outs and a pair of high heels.

Keke Palmer was giving sparkly mummy in her Marc Jacobs shredded gown. The tasteful rips gave the dress a little more interest. No jewelry is needed when you shine this bright.

6. J. Harrison Ghee

J. Harrison Ghee blessed us with one of the most colorful and out-of-the-box looks of the night from designer Howie B. From their giant feathered bow to their gold antennae, what more could we want?

7. Troye Sivan

Troye Sivan was business in the front and party in the back with this Prada look. He showed off a baby blue colored shirt, topped with a halter-top style vest and slacks. The back of the shirt showed off a slit with two buckles.

8. Lily Gladstone

Lily Gladstone made her Met debut this year looking like the night sky. She showed off a black strapless gown, decorated with small stars, and a sheer cape tied at her neck. The design is by Kiowa artist Keri Ataumbi and designer Gabriela Hearst, paying tribute to her ancestors.

9. Sam Smith

Sam Smith made an appearance in a black suit with a sheer overlay. They matched with their partner, Christian Cowan, in one of his custom designs. They both added a gold rose pinned to their hips.

Lil Nas X stunned in a flowy cream and silver set. The wide-leg pants combined perfectly with the long train, giving the full whimsical fantasy. The custom Luar look consists of 50,000 Swarovski crystals.

11. Oliver Rousteing

Oliver Rouseing has cheekbones for days. And so did his Balmain outfit last night. His statuesque top was offset by a black jacket and pants. He was serving face x2.

Omar Apollo gave his black suit a little something extra. A thread of silver cylinders draped over his shoulders with a few flower slipped in between. The Loewe look was topped off with a shining pinky ring and earrings.
