7 Sapphic Moments From the 2026 Emmy Awards
The nominations, wins, and looks to remember this year.
The 2026 Emmy Awards took place on Monday night, and while there wasn’t as much sapphic representation as we’d like to see, there were definitely some moments worth mentioning. Let’s take a look at some of our fave nominations, wins, and looks below.
1. Rhea Seehorn wins for lesbian character
After getting shafted during her time on Better Caul Saul, Seehorn has finally won her first Emmy for playing a lesbian protagonist on Pluribus. Let’s go lesbians!
2. Jean Smart’s 5th win for Hacks
Smart made history at this year’s Emmys, as she’s now officially won for every season of the recently ended Hacks. And she made a point to thank co-star Hannah Einbinder on the backstage Thank You Cam.
3. Emma D’Arcy’s outfit
Need we say more?
4. Hannah Einbinder & Meg Stalter both being nominated for Hacks
Einbinder has been nominated for Supporting Actress in a Comedy for every season of Hacks—and won last year—while this was Stalter’s first nomination.
5. Meg Stalter dressing up as a literal Emmy
Although she didn’t take home the award in her category, Stalter certainly left an impression when she decked herself out in gold to look like the iconic award.
6. Niecy Nash-Bett’s red carpet look
Nash-Betts attended the Emmys with her wife, Jessica Betts, and fans were absolutely obsessed with her outfit.
7. This mini Parent Trap reunion
BFFs Elaine Hendrix and Lisa Ann Walter will always hold an honorary spot in sapphic culture and every time we get to see them go as each others’ dates to events is an absolute gift.
