August is bringing the heat—literally, yes. But also to our big and small screens. This month sees the return of some of our faves, like the oh-so-sexy women of Lioness, and we get one last hurrah with Madison Bailey in The Outer Banks as the series begins its final season. But August is also bringing us some new cinematic treats that are sure to become forever favorites. Right at the top of that list is Jane Schoenbrun’s steamy new slasher (sort of) romance, Teenage Sex and Death at Camp Miasma, and Kristen Stewart and Alia Shawkat team up for the stoner buddy comedy we’ve been craving. Plus, this month history will be made as the inaugural season of Women’s Professional Baseball makes its way to the plate. How gay is it? Very.

Women’s Professional Baseball League Opening Day — August 1
Synopsis: Beginning this August, the inaugural season of the Women’s Pro Baseball League will see the best women in the sport go head-to-head, representing Boston, Los Angeles, New York, and San Francisco. The regular season will take place over six weeks, from August 1st to September 6th, with teams fighting for position in the first-ever WPBL Playoffs, culminating in September’s WPBL Championship.
