“Paige and I have something that we want to share with everyone. We are no longer together,” Fudd said in a new episode of her podcast with Bueckers as a guest.

In a new episode of Dallas Wings guard Azzi Fudd’s podcast Fudd Around and Find Out, teammates and former-girlfriends Fudd and Paige Bueckers revealed that they have been broken up for over a year.

Since the two won their NCAA Championship with UCONN in 2025, Bueckers and Fudd have been linked as dating after Fudd seemingly confirmed the relationship with a phone case reading “Paige Bueckers’ Girlfriend.” The two later became teammates again when Fudd got drafted first overall to the Dallas Wings and have been quiet about their personal relationship.

“Paige and I have something that we want to share with everyone. We are no longer together,” Fudd said laughing on her podcast, which is produced by iHeart Women’s Sports and Unanimous Media. “We’re not together anymore. It’s been, for everybody wondering, like over a year,” Bueckers said. “Everybody’s going to be like ‘oh my gosh they’re teammates, how is this gonna work?’ We were not together before she got drafted so all of those narratives can go to bed,” Bueckers added.

“We’re still friends, we’re still cool. We played an entire season together. We’re the utmost professional, we care about basketball,” Bueckers continued. Bueckers then addressed fans spreading hate in their names, asking them to stop as that is not what either of the two stand for. “If you support us, why would you hate on our teammates? Why would you hate on our friends? Why would you hate on our family?” she said.

Women’s basketball fans have analyzed nearly every interaction the two have had since their UConn days, with ship Tik Toks, videos of them on the bench and theories about their status going viral consistently.

“There’s been some crazy things said about us. Sometimes in life there’s just seasons and sometimes in life two people are just at different points of their life. We still support each other, we’re still gonna be great friends, we’re still gonna be great teammates, we’re gonna be professionals. We are still going to have other friends, we will eventually move on. I know we will continue to be outside and be lit and have a good time, so we should not get punished for that as well,” Bueckers said.

“And also we don’t need messages on what the other person is doing,” Fudd added laughing.

“At the end of the day, we still care about each other and want the best for each other and all the negative things can be put aside and you don’t need to overanalyze everything,” Bueckers said. She then addressed the video of Fudd rejecting her sweaty high-five that went viral on women’s basketball social media, stating that stuff like that just happens in basketball. “We’re still going to have normal teammate and human interaction with each other.”

The two then revealed their sign off inspired by Wings teammate Maddy Siegrist, making a hand heart with both of their hands, breaking it and then fist bumping, “A heart, break, but we’re still gang though,” Bueckers said as the two did it.

Both Fudd and Bueckers continued the podcast as friends, answering questions fans have been begging for while waiting for Bueckers to appear on the podcast. While the two did not discuss their relationship again, it was clear that their friendship remains, with joy, laughter and friendly banter continuing throughout the episode.

“We know you guys are curious and probably have a ton of questions but we’ve addressed everything that we need to and the rest will stay with us,” Fudd ended.
