StudBudz Weekend: All of the Queer Chaos from Night One

From shots of Don Julio and “Deep Sea Diver” on repeat, to hotel room chaos and corrupting rookies, the first night of the StudBudz All-Star stream delivered the chaos.

Stud One and Stud Two are back to give us an insider look into WNBA All-Star Weekend. Following an iconic 72-hour stream last year, Courtney Williams and Natisha Hiedeman are once again streaming the entire weekend and it’s already been chaotic (in the best way of course). Night one was filled with matching outfits, All-Star cameos, a whole lot of dancing and an impressive amount of Don Julio. If you go to bed at a reasonable hour and missed the late night shenanigans, look no further! We’ve got you covered, buhlieve it!

Stud 1 and Stud 2

To go with their freshly colored blue hair, the Budz started the stream walking around in Dr. Seuss Stud 1 and Stud 2 shirts. The hotel room setup was officially back, the music was already blasting and of course, T was already throwing it back. We are so back twin!

“Call Caitlin Clark”

If you caught the stream last year, you might remember Courtney and T saying they were going to “call Caitlin” any time something went even a little bit wrong. Well, we’re back with Courtney dropping the first “call Caitlin” of the stream while getting ready for the Orange Carpet yesterday.

Paige Bueckers Appears

While waiting behind the Orange Carpet area, a seemingly already drunk Paige Bueckers appeared and immediately got the Budz hype. Within a minute, T was already throwing it back on Bueckers while Courtney watched on and said “they already acting gay bruh.” There simply is no league like the W.

Hotel Room Chaos

After walking the Orange Carpet, the Budz went back to their hotel room, telling players they passed to come up and take a shot with them. First to arrive was rookie Azzi Fudd who took her double shot of Don Julio like an absolute champ.

Then the former Minnesota Lynx Budz got to reunite with their fellow former Lynx teammates Napheesa Collier, Rachel Banham, Jessica Shepard and Bridget Carleton. The energy was real as they danced to “RUBBERZ” by Fenix Flexin & Purps On The Beat.

There was a constant stream of players like Dominque Malonga, Flau’jae Johnson, and Marina Mabrey via FaceTime coming in and out of the Budz room. But when Dijonai Carrington and Jackie Young walked in, it was electric. Carrington, sometimes referred to as “FemBud,” reunited with Stud and Bud alongside her new girlfriend (IYKYK the drama about them). Carrington and Young sat next to each other the whole time and the stream even captured some very loving glances between them.

There was a lot of party coordination going on throughout the night with players dividing up to go to different brand parties. One such party was thrown by A’ja Wilson, the MVP of the league. The Budz turned to Jackie Young and asked if Wilson’s party was going to give “corporate vibes or not” which gave us this iconic post from Wilson on Threads.

Just when the room couldn’t get gayer, everyone’s favorite accidental teammate outer (IYKYK) Jonquel Jones walked in looking fly as always.

Finally Off to the Party

After what felt like hours of the Budz saying they were about to leave for the parties, we finally saw them get into the sprinter vans with none other than rookie Awa Fam. When they turned on Spanish music for her, she went off, giving us the energy that the StudBudz are all about.

The Party

This is what Night One is all about baby! After pregaming with about an entire two bottles of Don Julio, the Budz walked in ready to party. They ran into rookie Lauren Betts who said that her mom made a Twitch account just to watch the stream.

Erica Wheeler said what we were all thinking, “This is not All-Star Weekend, it’s StudBudz Weekend.” Buhlieve it!

The dance floor went crazy of course with T throwing it back on Awa Fam, Azzi Fudd and naturally, Courtney Williams. Olivia Miles, who previously said that she was excited to network during All-Star Weekend, looked genuinely shocked watching Stud and Bud cut up on the dance floor.

Fans spotted a very brief moment of Azzi Fudd and Paige Bueckers interaction in the background of the stream. It’s nice to see, even if it is low res and made up of a few grainy pixels.

The Last Ones Standing

When the party started to clear out, viewers were surprised to see that one of the last players standing with the Budz was Miss Fudd. The rookie can really hold her own! While standing outside the party, T and Fudd dealt with a man interested in Fudd, trolling him that Fudd was 16 and T saying she was a ‘political figure’. The interaction gave us an instant classic WNBA meme to use for the rest of the season so thank you to that man I guess?

The night ended with the People’s Princess back in the Budz hotel room rocking the iconic StudBudz chain.

The Morning After

All that and it was just night one! We’ve got a lot to look forward to this weekend. Thank God for the W.
