NYC mayoral candidate Zohran Mamdani is ranking second in the polls, behind former Gov. Andrew Cuomo.

Numerous Democrats have called for Cuomo’s resignation, including President Biden, and the New York State Assembly has been conducting an impeachment investigation into his conduct. However, Cuomo had previously shown no signs of stepping down. 

“What I said was if the investigation by the attorney general concluded that the allegations were correct, back in March, I would recommend he resign,” the President said in a statement to the press. “That is what I am doing today.”

“The reports of accusations concerning the governor are serious.”

Governor Cuomo has spent the last two terms working to pass impactful, progressive policies that have successfully changed lives.
