There’s Exactly ONE More Month Until ‘The L Word: Generation Q’ Premieres

Just 30 days to go, lesbians.

Happy Friday, gays. Today is a lovely day. Why? Because it’s November 8, a day that is totally unremarkable in pretty much every way except that it marks exactly one month until the premiere of “The L Word: Generation Q” on December 8.

Yes, I said one (1) month. Is it just me, or is time flying by? Before you know it, we’re all going to be sitting down at our local “L Word” watch party, eyes glued to the screen as Shane fingerbangs a vixen and Alice doles out wise advice, surrounded by lesbian energy and popcorn. (Or, alternatively, we’ll be watching at home surrounded by blankets like the shy awkward gays that we are.)

The kind folks over at Showtime have been steadily doling out teasers from the new series, from trailers to short snippets about the show’s new storylines. In addition to the return of Bette (Jennifer Beals), Shane (Leisha Hailey), and Alice (Katherine Moennig), the show will feature a brand new cast of characters, representing the younger, queerer (and more diverse) generation of today.

Though the show premieres in basically two seconds, the cast and crew are just now wrapping up filming. Leo Sheng, one of the new young stars of the revival series, posted photos from the set on his last day of filming on Wednesday.

We can’t wait to meet Sheng’s character Micah and all the other new characters on December 8!

Now, excuse me while I go re-watch all six seasons of “The L Word” to get ready.
