The L Word: Generation Q Cast Members Will Be At Pride In Brooklyn, NYC, & LA

Yasssss.

While we may all be on the edge of our seats waiting to see what the new “L Word: Generation Q” will bring, if you’re in New York or Los Angeles for pride, you might be lucky enough to rub shoulders with stars and creators from the show — or at least scream in excitement when you see them from the edge of the parade route.

“The L Word: Generation Q” will have its own float in both the L.A. parade in West Hollywood and the New York City Parade. Jennifer Beals, Katherine Moennig and Leisha Hailey along with executive producer and series creator Ilene Chaiken will be on the float in NYC. In L.A., Chaiken and showrunner and executive producer Marja-Lewis Ryan will appear in the parade.

The reboot has been in the works since 2017, and the pride parades are just one of the pride month events scheduled to get us all extremely hyped for the premiere.  The show also sponsored a SHOWTIME x The L Word x Genius Present: A Brooklyn Pride Celebration TONIGHT and the upcoming Femme Fatale party in New York City. Oh, and Showtime also is advertising the new series with special The L Word: Generation Q MetroCards that are being doled out at select MetroCard machines.

The L Word: Generation Q is expected to premiere this fall and will continue with the story of Bette, Alice and Shane alongside a whole “new generation of self-possessed LGBTQIA characters experiencing love, heartbreak, setbacks and success in Los Angeles.” Ilene Chaiken, the creator of the original series and stars Jennifer Beals, Katherine Moennig and Leisha Hailey will serve as executive producers.

There’s no official word on exactly when the new show will premiere, but Showtime released a mini teaser trailer that has us counting down the days until the new series begins while fondly remembering our favorite original “L Word” moments.
