It’s rearing toward the end of May, and, with each passing day, I am teeming with more and more excitement for WorldPride | Stonewall 50—aren’t you?

As your lesbian big sister, I feel obliged to tell you about one party I’m particularly jazzed about: “Pride Soup”! The West Village’s very own lesbian institution Henrietta Hudson is partnering (~officially~) with WorldPride | Stonewall 50 and it’s going to be huge.

I want you to close your pretty eyes, my queer babes. Visualize a stunning outdoor waterfront venue that boasts majestic views of the glorious city of New York. Imagine the glittery East River sparkling in front of your happy, gay eyes. LGBTQ+ vibes swirl around your head. And the best part: You’re surrounded by over 2000 magnetic, loving, sexy LGBTQIA babes.

Sound too fabulous to be anything more than a Pride daydream?

Well, lucky for you, it’s no dream—it’s real. The event I’m describing is exactly what Pride Soup is going to look like. The venue “Watermark Bar” is a beautiful space (as a native New Yorker, I can assure you). Hosted by our favorite gender capitalist, model, actor, and activist Rain Dove and co-hosted by the fashion-forward, writer extraordinaire, influencer, and activist Devin Norelle, the event also boasts performances by the Nina Sky and Laith Ashley. And the amazing Amber Valentine, DJ MARYMAC, and Jo Cullura will be DJing, meaning the music is going to be lit all night.

If you’re like me and you’re feeling a little shy about your dance skills, that’s OK! Because stunning GO-GOs courtesy of Maria Kent & Black Haus Creative will be there to shake the night up and get the dance floor nice and warm for us.

If you really want to take my advice, then what you should do right now is get your limited-edition early bird tickets, babe. There aren’t many (300 for general admission and 100 for VIP), and, as your lez big sis, I strongly advise you to take advantage of this before the price goes up.

I’ll be purchasing VIP tickets (purr), which will ensure I get quick priority entry, have access to an exclusive bar, and bottle service if I feel like being extra (which I do). Purchase VIP tickets so we can hang out! They’re also offering up a very lit VIP Package which includes VIP tickets, 1 bottle of liquor, and reserved seating. The first five VIP packages GUARANTEE exclusive reserved chaise lounge seating at the water’s edge. Meow!

Lisa Cannistraci, community icon, West Village legend, and bar owner of Henrietta Hudson exclusively tells GO that, “This party is very special to me because we are mixing the perfect potion to represent the true diversity of our community. Reclaiming the word Queer has been so empowering to us. It means that we can embrace ourselves once again and revel in our unique experience as humans. Inclusivity is paramount with LGBTQIA+ folks. Now more than ever I am seeing true solidarity across the spectrum of our multi-cultural, gender diverse and fluid community.”

We couldn’t agree more. So, round up the queer babes and get your tickets for Pride Soup!
