Feb 28 at the Hilton New York, the HRC holds its annual Greater New York Gala. This annual black-tie gala features a full roster of entertainment and recognizes individuals and organizations whose efforts have made important gains for LGBT equality.
African Asian Latina Lesbians United (AALLU) presents the 11th anniversary of its Eastern Regional Womyn of Color Conference, March 1–2 at Rutgers University’s Newark, NJ campus. This two-day conference will include a panel discussion, keynote speaker as well as provide enlightening workshops that will address women’s intellectual, political, emotional, social and spiritual beings. Workshop topics will include sex and sexuality, spirituality, labor issues, legal concerns, racism, sexism among women, bi-cultural relationships, community violence, mental and physical health and well-being, parenting/adoption/family issues, finance and real estate.
