Help beautify Christopher Park – an International LGBTQ Heritage Site!

We’ll Be Planting the Summer Garden in Christopher Park – No Experience Necessary!
Every year tens of thousands of people from across the world make visiting the Stonewall National Monument part of their visit to New York City. The efforts of a few volunteers help ensure a beautiful park for visitors and city dwellers alike.

We provide gardening tools, instructions, and good company. Just bring yourself in loose-fitting clothes which you can get dirty.
Meet other community-conscious, motivated people! We’ll be joined by volunteers from the Stonewall Society (NYC Parks Department LGBTQ employee group). All gardens in the monument are maintained entirely through the efforts of volunteers.
Volunteers are welcome for as little as an hour or the full day — whatever your schedule can accommodate. We will be planting from 10:00 am until 2:30 pm – or until all the plants are in the ground. We look forward to seeing you there!
