This past Thursday night The Leslie-Lohman Museum celebrated fierce pussy and their inspiring QUEERPOWER facade installation. The Stonewall Inn Annual Pride Kickoff was a blast thanks to Stacy Lentz and Kurt Kelly! The 1 year anniversary of The Stonewall Inn Gives Back Initiative was filled with love and hope for working together to create a better tomorrow for our community. The Initiative directly focuses on helping people that live in areas that are less accepting of the LGBTQ culture and therefore face intensive social stigma, daily discrimination, and harassment, which results in dramatically higher rates of suicide, substance abuse, depression, and anxiety. The Stonewall Inn Gives Back Initiative’s ultimate goal is to provide support systems and to spread the message of love and equality in every community that has suffered from a lack of recognition and resources. #Wewerethere! PAT’s 5 year anniversary party was definitely the PAT of the century! DJ Dicap and DJ Matty Horrorchata slayyyed the front room while DJs Clara 3000, Natasha Kitty Katt, JD Samson, and Amber Valentine packed the back all night long!! AcoustiQ gathered a cute group of queers and had Kailey Prior, Sarah A Factor, and curator Eli Denby Wood serenade us! All the donated proceeds went to a friend of Eli’s currently battling cancer. Hot Rabbit’s Bad Habit party was super HOTTT thanks to sexy, sassy dancers Scarlett Snow and Caitlyn Seitz! SAGE celebrated the amazing women who bring us all together with their second annual SHE event.

Dyke Nite hosted by Dyke Bar Takeover at Friends and Lovers donated all proceeds to Princess Janae Place, “dedicated to helping trans people maximize their full potential by providing residential, educational, clinical, and recreational services that create and nurture connections to the community and the world.” It was a night of music thanks to DJ Andro, Frilucha and Santa Librada. Girl Social kicked off their first LezSwim of 2018 and it was a splashing good time with DJ Monstar! LezSwim is a body-inclusive event where LGBTQIA-identified women, trans, genderqueer, and gender non-conforming people get together afterwork and have a great time in the pool. There’s even a window to the bar in the pool so you don’t have to get out for another round! #Wewerethere! Were you?!

SKIN is a new monthly chic, sexy queer Gala at the Museum of Sex and we love our hosts Amber Von Toxn, Cassie Reeder, and Brie Brewer for creating this party and supporting and promoting female sensuality and art! Brooklyn Community Pride Center hosted Trans Boxing for a free self defense/ boxing class during their monthly “Women’s Mixer.” Everyone enjoyed snacks and refreshments and had a blast learning boxing basics! #Wewerethere! Were you?!

Hot Rabbit’s biweekly Saturday night party Bad Habit at Lot 45 had an INCREDIBLE performance by international rope suspension & aerial shibari artist Parker Rope Boi and DJ Jessamess and DJ Mystery Grrr and set the stage for Vogue-Go Magic by The House of Olympus! Free Haircuts, Face Painting, and Glitter Glam by Hairrari Barbershop had everyone looking extra sparkly! #Wewerethere! Were you?!

XOXA: Hack The Planet party at Superchief Gallery was out of this world with special performances by Boston Flow Babes: The Hoopercat, Saturn Spins, and Gemini Jules!! This giant venue had plenty of space to play video games projected onto the back wall, and an impressive list of vendors including; AscAlchemical, Wanderdusted by Erin Wong, Privvi nail art by Linette, J. Caress Studio, Wear the Golden by Ariel “Fenix” Justine, Penny Trott’s Bizarre Emporium, and PhoKing Queen by Gigi. There was still plenty of room to dance to DJ HardCandy and DJ Darelectric’s sick sets, and marvel at Kiska and Medea’s dancing, plus a mesmerizing aerial video game themed performance by Misha Lee! #Wewerethere!
