WNBA Stars Courtney Vandersloot And Allie Quigley Celebrate Their First Child

The couple welcomed their first child on April 8. Congrats!
Chicago Sky veteran guard Courtney Vandersloot and former Chicago Sky star Allie Quigley, the first married couple to win a professional sports championship together, notoriously known as “the VanderQuigs,” have announced the birth of their first child together!
In an exclusive reveal with PEOPLE published on Mother’s Day, it was announced that the couple’s baby girl, Jana Christine Vandersloot Quigley, was born on April 8.
“We are over the moon to welcome our baby girl to the world,” Vandersloot and Quigly, told PEOPLE. “We have been dreaming of this moment for a long time, and it’s better than we could have ever imagined!”
Along with their statement, the couple shared some sweet photos of them holding and smiling down at their baby daughter, Jana, wearing a jeweled headband.
This iconic WNBA power couple’s history began overseas, where they played against each other in the 2012-2013 Euroleague season. While Quigley’s team beat Vandersloot’s, the two found themselves on the same flight back to the United States to play for the Chicago Sky, and the rest was love and basketball.
In 2018, the couple broke the internet when they announced their marriage in an iconic Instagram post, and have again broken the internet with this PEOPLE exclusive.
Fans and WNBA players flooded the Instagram post of the couple and their adorable baby.
“Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!,” wrote former teammate and two-time champion Breanna Stewart.
“[B]aby SLOOOOOOOOOOOT,” commented one fan, while another added, “Please tell me that baby’s last name is Vanderquig ❤️.”
Congratulations to the happy WNBA family, and maybe we’ll see Jana on the court in the future!
