Who Was The Best Dressed At The 2025 Met Gala?
Celebs took to the red carpet for the annual Met Gala Monday night. But who came out on top?
The Met Gala returned to New York City Monday night with high-profile guests, an overwhelming number of photographers, and a few…questionable outfits.
This year, the exclusive fundraiser was co-chaired by Colman Domingo, Lewis Hamilton, A$AP Rocky, Pharrell Williams, and (of course) Anna Wintour, along with honorary chair LeBron James. The gala celebrated and supported the Costume Institute’s Spring exhibition, “Superfine: Tailoring Black Style.” This exhibition, which is on view at The Met from May 10 to October 26, is “a cultural and historical examination of Black style from the 18th century to the present through an exploration of the concept of dandyism,” according to The Met. The exhibit is inspired by Guest Curator Monica L. Miller’s 2009 book, Slaves to Fashion: Black Dandyism and the Styling of Black Diasporic Identity.
In honor of “Superfine: Tailoring Black Style,” the gala’s dress code was “Tailored For You,” focusing on the history of Black style in relation to menswear. This year’s Host Committee, who support the evening’s events, included Simone Biles, Doechii, Ayo Edebiri, Janelle Monáe, Angel Reese, Sha’Carri Richardson, and more.
Many of the artists, athletes, musicians, filmmakers, and designers who graced the red carpet last night stayed on theme, made excellent references, and pulled out jaw-dropping looks. Here are some of our absolute favorite outfits of the night.
