Watch Rep. Sara Jacobs’ Spectacular Exposure Of Pete Hegseth’s Trans Hypocrisy

Three women risked their lives for this country. Pete Hegseth praised them—until he found out they’re trans.

During a House Armed Services Committee hearing last week, Rep. Sara Jacobs (D-CA) laid out the decorated service records of three women: one a U.S. Army major in the top 5% of her class, one a combat pilot with more than 50 missions, and one a highly rated ROTC instructor. She asked Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth (who helped reinstate the military’s transgender ban under Trump) if the Pentagon should be doing everything it can to retain women like that.

“Yes,” he replied.

Then came the twist: all three of the women are transgender.

Hegseth, who had just publicly praised their accomplishments, suddenly reverted to the policy. Despite calling them “stellar” just seconds earlier, he reaffirmed that the military considers gender dysphoria a disqualifying medical condition, making these women (despite their records he praised just moments earlier) unfit to serve.

If you’ve ever wanted to watch someone walk directly into a rhetorical bear trap of their own making, here’s your clip.

Watch Sara Jacobs dismantle Pete Hegseth’s trans military ban hypocrisy in under 90 seconds. Three women with impeccable records.

For context, Hegseth has long opposed trans inclusion in the military. He even once said, “The military is not a petri dish for social experimentation.” And yet, when confronted with the reality of three high-performing service members who just happen to be trans, he couldn’t ‘square the circle.’

Jacobs didn’t need to grandstand. She just let his own logic collapse under the weight of the truth.

The moment has since gone viral, for good reason: it’s a rare example of someone cutting through performative patriotism to ask the actual question—do we value the person and their service, or do we only value it only if it conforms?
