Video Of The Day: Kate McKinnon Returns To ‘SNL’ And Things Get Weird Fast

McKinnon was joined by Meryl Streep to recount a close encounter that got a little too close.
Saturday Night Live’s 50th Anniversary Special was a star-studded celebration of the show’s history, packed with nostalgic callbacks, surprise cameos, and fan-favorite sketches. One of the night’s highlights was Close Encounter 50th, featuring the return of out former cast member Kate McKinnon—who we were especially excited to see back on the SNL stage.

The sketch revisits McKinnon’s endearingly crude character, Ms. Rafferty, as she once again recounts an alien abduction that was a little more, let’s say, hands-on than expected. As if that weren’t enough, the sketch also marks the SNL debut of Meryl Streep, alongside Aidy Bryant, Jon Hamm, Woody Harrelson, and Pedro Pascal.
