K.D. Lang, Amanda Lapor, 13th Annual KlezBiGay Pride show

In celebration of the release of her new album Sing It Loud, singer-songwriter and timeless lesbian icon k.d. lang heads out on tour this summer. lang will bring her silky, melodic voice and unique musical stylings to the Beacon Theatre on July 20, accompanied by The Siss Boom Bang with special guest The Belle Brigade. Don’t miss your chance to catch her during her brief stay in town!

Isle of Klezbos, Metropolitan Klezmer and guests perform free at the 13th Annual KlezBiGay Pride show, returning to El Sol Brillante Garden on June 14. This year’s show honors the Triangle Fire centenary with Yiddish ballads from the 1911 tragedy, plus dance party music of that era and genre-bending, newly-minted 21st-century band repertoire.

Head to Sullivan Hall on June 2 to check out The Prettiest Meltdown (aka TPM), a female-fronted hard-rock/electronic band. Openly lesbian frontwoman Danielle Patoir lends her pipes to this group that formed in early 2009 in the New York-Metro area and has been hard at work completing new songs. Now they want to show them off at gigs around NYC, so catch
