Rising Icelandic sensation, Rósa Gudmundsdóttir & the UltraTight perform live at Le Poisson Rouge on Mar. 10. Rósa’s music is difficult to categorize. An idealist and a rule-breaker, her performances are tough, sexed-up, and tender all at once. Whether rocking it out on her electric guitar or breaking your heart on the piano, she is absolutely riveting to watch. And her uberr-sexy, room-shaking girl band, the UltraTight, is the perfect funky foil for her lush arrangements.
The Rockers’ Delight Festival 2010 kicks off Mar. 13 at the Ace of Clubs with an awesome lineup of amazing live chic bands. The festival features powerful NYC-based women rock musicians including Vero, GSX, Karyn Kuhl, Hooray for Goodbye, Sophia Ramos, Swear on Your Life. A portion of the proceeds will benefit V-Day, a global movement to end violence against women and girls.
