“The Stonewall Inn is one of the original safe spaces, and it’s important that we create more Safe Spaces for the LGBTQA+ community across the country. It is so wonderful to see this amazing group of people come together to support our fundraising effort.”

The Stonewall Inn Gives Back Initiative, the official non-profit of The Stonewall Inn, will kick off Pride season with an all-star virtual concert Tuesday, June 1st.

The Stonewall Inn Safe Spaces Concert will benefit LGBTQ+ centers around the country that are partnered with the Stonewall Inn Gives Back Initiative. It will feature an impressive cast of queer and ally artists, performers, and public figures including Lea Delaria, Margaret Cho, Julianne Moore, Billy Eichner, Sasha Velour, Alexandra Billings, Amy Poehler, Rita Wilson, Amanda Lepore, Nancy Pelosi, and many more.

“The Stonewall Inn is one of the original safe spaces, and it’s important that we create more Safe Spaces for the LGBTQA+ community across the country,” said Stonewall Inn co-owner, Kurt Kelly, in a statement released to the press. “It is so wonderful to see this amazing group of people come together to support our fundraising effort.”

The Stonewall Inn Gives Back Initiative is a non-profit organization that raises funds and awareness in support of grassroots organizations that serve marginalized communities around the world, specifically in areas where progress for the LGBTQ+ has been slow. Proceeds from the benefit concert will help fund LGBTQ+ centers throughout the North American South and West, such as the Borderland Rainbow Center in El Paso, Texas, the Magic City Acceptance Center in Birmingham, Alabama, and the Utah Pride Center in Salt Lake City, Utah, as they continue to re-open following the pandemic.

The concert will stream live online at TheStonewallInnSafeSpacesConcert.com starting at 8:00 p.m. E.T. Donations can be made through the website.
