The ‘Lesbian Space Princess’ Trailer Is Here And Very Queer

Lesbian Space Princess, the animated, offbeat sci-fi comedy, just made its world premiere at the Berlin International Film Festival on Sunday and will be screening all week as part of the Panorama section. But seeing as a last-minute jaunt to Berlin is likely out of reach—and if it isn’t, call us, we want to know your secret—here’s the next best thing: UK-based distributor Blue Finch Films has dropped a trailer to give you a first look at this intergalactic queer adventure.

Created and directed by Emma Hough Hobbs and Leela Varghese, Lesbian Space Princess follows an introverted space princess, Saira, who embarks on an inter-gay-lactic mission to save her ex-girlfriend from the clutches of the dreaded Straight White Maliens.

The Australian feature has already secured distribution in Australia and New Zealand with Umbrella Entertainment, and Blue Finch is now testing the international market with its Berlinale screenings. Excitement has been building since its Work-in-Progress screening at the Adelaide Film Festival, where it was praised for its bold storytelling and distinctive animation style.
