Another ‘The L Word: Generation Q’ Trailer Is Here & We Are Freaking Out

The L Word Generation Q has just dropped the full trailer for season 2, promising more drama, messy love triangles and, of course, sex.

Lesbians and queer women, rejoice! “The L Word Generation Q” has just dropped the full trailer for season 2, promising more drama, love, social issues, messy love triangles and, of course, sex.

Based on the glimpse we’ve been given so far, season 2 will continue the Dani-Finley-Sophie love triangle, see Shane involved with a married woman (“I swear to god I had no idea that was her wife! She should have come with a warning label.”), and have Bette mourning Tina’s new relationship with Carrie, played by Rosie O’Donnell.

“Tina has Carrie, and she makes her laugh and I have — oh, that’s right, I have no one and I’m going to die alone,” Bette laments, before the scene fades to a bar where she and Gigi (!!!!!) share a steamy kiss.

Other highlights include Micah confessing to Dani that he’s slept with a woman, serious karaoke with Bette, Alice, and Shane, and Alice not-so subtly recriminating Gigi for cheating on Nats (and on Alice with Nats) over a tense game of poker.

“She’s got trust issues,” Alice sing-songs, laying down her chips.

Season 2 will premiere on streaming and on demand for Showtime subscribers on August 6.  The show will premiere on-air August 8.
