Stacy London Of ‘What Not To Wear’ Is In A Lesbian Relationship And OMG

“So I used to date men. Now I date her.”

Don’t pass out, but Stacy London of “What Not to Wear” fame just came out as LGBTQ and confirmed that, yes, she is in a lesbian relationship. Okay, you can pass out now.

Rumors about London’s sexuality and relationship status have been floating around ever since photos of her with a “hot butch girlfriend” surfaced on social media. In the words of the viral tweet: “So no one was gonna tell me that Stacy from ‘What Not to Wear’ is gay and has a hot butch girlfriend?”

London addressed the rumors with an Instagram post on Tuesday morning. She confirmed that she is in her “first serious relationship with a woman” and identified the woman as Cat Yezbak, a musician and hot sauce connoisseur (according to her Instagram bio).

The two have been dating for over a year, but London kept their relationship under wraps until now. She explained, “I want to be clear here that with Cat I felt I owed us the chance to be private since this is my first serious relationship with a woman and I’m sure there will be some hoo ha about that. But I would never hide her out of shame.”

London also paid homage to the LGBTQ predecessors who paved the way for her to be able to so seamlessly transition into a same-sex relationship.

“I fell in love, truly in love, with this beautiful, sexy, kind soul and I won’t apologize for that but I stand on the shoulders of a community that fought like hell for me to be able to do that openly and proudly and EASILY,” she wrote.

In short, she says: “So I used to date men. Now I date her. That’s it. That’s all I have to say.”

She also blessed us with a series of frankly way too adorable photos of her and Yezbak together.
