Oh, to be a gay teen again! To feel completely alone and totally isolated whilst stewing in your deep-rooted feelings of freakiness. Wouldn’t it have been OH SO MUCH EASIER, if only we had well-written movies to watch that depicted our tormented gay experience? I mean “She’s All That” was a good movie and everything, but it didn’t quite mirror our closeted reality, did it now, kittens?
Well it must be nice for the younger, luckier generation of gays. They get this adorable gay teen movie “Love, Simon” to connect to. The trailer just dropped and it looks honest, adorable and extremely relatable. It might center around a GAY BOY not a YOUNG LEZ, but I happen to think the coming out experience is relatable, regardless of gender, babes.
The film stars, Nick Robinson, Katherine Langford, Alexandra Shipp, Jennifer Garner and Josh Duhamel. I can’t wait for this one to drop! I have a feeling it will heal the f*cked up teen that lives inside of me, and girl, does she need some healing!
