Kim Petras & Nicki Minaj Fulfill Our Kinky Fantasies In New Music Video

Doing something *else* unholy.

Kim Petras is maintaining her slaying streak after Monday’s Met Gala. The trans pop icon appeared at the event honoring the late Karl Lagerfeld wearing a stunning Marc Jacobs look and the next day, she gifted us with new music. The Grammy-winning pop star just released the video for her newest single “Alone” with pop sensation Nicki Minaj. The catchy AF song samples Alice Deejay’s 1999 hit “Better Off Alone,” and the video pays tribute to club classics like Eric Prydz’s “Call on Me,” Alex Gaudino’s “Destination Calabria,” and Fedde Le Grand’s “Put Your Hands Up For Detroit.” The song has already been steamed millions of times across Apple, Spotify, and Amazon. The video has been watched over 700K times on Youtube.

The “Alone” video depicts a man watching an old-screen TV screen where Petras stars as a sexy marching band member, an 80s aerobic girl, and a naughty nurse. Together, Petras and Minaj grace the screen in full leather dominatrix realness. It is a visual wonderland of kinky fantasy and camp, something both Petras and Minaj have mastered.

The video was directed by Arrad and is another step for Petras in her quest for international stardom. (Which she is succeeding at at an alarming rate.) Petras recently won her first Grammy for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance for her and Sam Smith’s platinum smash hit “Unholy”– which just surpassed one billion streams, performed “Unholy” at the Grammy awards with Sam Smith, and reached the no. 1 spot on the Billboard Hot 100. Petras is also preparing for festival appearances at Governor’s Ball in NYC this June, Osheaga in Montreal this August, Life is Beautiful in Las Vegas and The Town in São Paulo, Brazil this September. She will also be performing at Hard Rock Live in Miami, Florida on May 19, presented by Sports Illustrated to celebrate the release of their annual swimsuit issue.
