Jennifer Lopez made a surprise appearance this weekend at famed West Hollywood gay bar The Abbey, thrilling everyone, particularly the JLo drag impersonator she snuck up behind. Drag artist Jo Lopez had just finished performing Lopez’s song “Can’t Get Enough” for a crowd of patrons, dressed in a replica of the wedding dress from the music video. Jo Lopez was blowing kisses to the cheering guests while the real Jennifer Lopez snuck up behind her. The crowd went wild, and when Jo Lopez realized what was going on, screamed in delighted shock.

The Lopez duo hugged and Jennifer Lopez invited David Cooley, The Abbey’s founder and CEO, up onto the stage with them. Lopez was there to celebrate the iconic venue’s 33rd anniversary and to promote her new single “Can’t Get Enough,” NBC Out reports.

After Cooley joined the Lopezes on stages, the drag queen and celebrity changed into replicas of JLo’s legendary — and very sexy — Versace 2000 Grammys dress.

Jo Lopez posted a shot of the pair on Instagram with the caption, “I. met. MOTHER.”

In an Instagram story, Jo Lopez joked, “I have a crusty lace. I have an ugly scar on my chin. My facial hair is coming in. My makeup is oily. And that double chin… I look CRAZY, but I met Jlo today and nothing else matters.”

JLo has been known to be an active ally and activist for the LGBTQ+ community. The Human Rights Campaign honored her in 2013 with the Ally for Equality Award. In 2014, GLAAD presented her with the Vanguard Award. HRC reports that Lopez has also raised millions of dollars for HIV/AIDS research. She was also a vocal advocate for marriage equality. She talks the talk and walks the walk!
