Over 60 spook-tacular queer Halloween parties throughout NYC starting TONIGHT!

Halloween is slowly creeping up on us, but don’t worry! There’s still time to make the most of the season. Whether you’re looking to dance the night away at the hottest queer party or keep it more lowkey (but still hair-raising), GO has you covered. From spooktacular comedy shows to terrifyingly off-the-wall raves, we have you covered for nightly parties from now until Halloween. We’ve scoured the city and put together a list of the most exciting events for you to sink your teeth into. 

WEDNESDAY OCTOBER 16 

Doomsgay: A Queer Rager

8pm, Cubbyhole, 281 W 12th St

Playwrights Horizons presents a night full of drag kings, drinks, and disaster. The first 30 ragers to arrive will get a free drink, so get there early and bring cash to tip the performers!

FRIDAY OCTOBER 18 

The L Word Halloween Party at Ginger’s

9pm, free, Ginger’s Bar, 363 5th Ave

If you have always dreamed of experiencing the iconic lesbian hotspot from The L Word, it’s your lucky night! For one night only, Ginger’s Bar is turning into The Planet. Organized by KittyPool, you can expect L Word-era classic songs and flowing drinks. 

GVS and Thorgy Thor Present: Final Girls

The final girl: inexplicably hot, badass, covered in blood, and somehow, still alive. We know her. We love her. We are her. This show is dedicated to Laurie Strode of Halloween, Sidney Prescott of Scream, Dani of Midsommar, and all your fave gals who just wouldn’t quit. RuPaul’s Drag Race queens Thorgy Thor and Detox will guide you through an homage to the campiest and most gag-worthy horror flicks for all the spooky gays who love to hear a woman screaming bloody murder (me). House of Love: Switchy Witchy

Pumpkin Painting Picnic & Bake Sale

Hocus Pocus, The Drag Musical Parody

New York Brut

Are you a muscle daddy, a diva, a twink, an otter, or anything in between? Are you looking to partake in some wild Halloween debauchery? Look no further than New York Brut. Held in the seedy underbelly of Times Square, you will find hairy werewolves, suave vampires, and muscled monsters dancing late into the night under a glowing moon. DJ Kitty Glitter’s tantalizing tunes and Dan Darlington’s terrifying tech-house will have you sweating on the dance floor and having the night of your life (and afterlife). GayRidge Pumpkinfest

The fourth annual GayRidge Pumpkinfest is here! Bring your best carving and decorating skills for a chance to win prizes for your pumpkins. BYO carving tools and art supplies. To reserve a spot, fill out this form with the number of people in your party and number of pumpkins needed. 

GUSH Presents: RAPP Fundraiser 

4pm, raffle prices vary, Time Again, 105 Canal St

Come out and help raise funds for RAPP, an advocacy campaign to release aging people in prisons. You can enter the raffle here to win a variety of fun and luxurious prizes. All funds from the raffle and merch sales will go towards RAPP. 

Queer Clay with Me: Spooky Edition

Andrew Barret Cox Presents: Apocalypse Noir

Every Monday, Andrew Barret Cox and Jan Sport are taking over the Balcon Salon with a night of drag and live vocals. Beats by DJ Lady Simon. Get there early to grab a spot with a great view- you don’t want to miss this! 

TUESDAY OCTOBER 22 

Queer Window

7pm, $13.70-$15, Brooklyn Comedy Collective

Watch a troupe of hilarious LGBTQ+ folks take on spooky sketches at Eris in Williamsburg and indulge in some good old-fashioned comedy. Take a break from the costume parties and Halloween raves, and kick back to enjoy performances from some of the hottest up-and-coming comics in the scene! Paint a Pumpkin at The Bush

Candy, party tickets, costumes, and decorations can easily rack up the bills leaving you feeling more terrified than Brad and Janet in Rocky Horror Picture Show. Fear not! NYC Pride Open House and Queer Halloween Party is totally free! Rejoice! It also is from 7 PM to 9 PM for those who want to celebrate the season but don’t want to be out till the wee hours of the morning. Everyone who wears a costume will be entered into a raffle for prizes. Donations are encouraged, so NYC Pride Open House can continue hosting free events for the queer community. Gay-Larious Spooky LGBTQ Laugh Fest

Rupert’s Freaky Halloween Show

A weird-as-hell gay Halloween clown show? Say no more! In this queer variety show, Pearl Emerson and Mitchell Ashe will tickle your funny phone and leave you begging for more. The site even describes the performance as, “Featuring performers of a variety of genders and sexualities, but if it had to be nailed down the vibe would probably be described as Seth Rogan’s queer children and their friends.” Sounds pretty good, right? Tickets start at $13.70 and are $15 on the day of the performance. 

SUNDAY OCTOBER 27 

Haunted Hollywood

Times Square’s 1604 Broadway is celebrating spooky season with Haunted Hollywood, a live Halloween spectacle where reimagined horror icons blend terror with temptation through tantalizing immersive performances. Guests will enjoy the night in the grand Circo ballroom with live music, Halloween-themed cocktails, Latin-inspired cuisine and a climactic variety show where the luscious “final girl” battles for survival. Star from RuPaul’s Drag Race Vanessa Vanjie will be in attendance as the ‘final girl’ in the Haunted Halloween show on Sunday, October 27. Tickets here.

Seed of Chucky Movie Night

Fagatha Christie: A Drag Murder-Mystery Party
