Ebony, a magazine focusing on African-American issues and culture, has profiled a lesbian couple in its “Black Love” issue for February, The Advocate reports.
The couple, Yanette L. Freeman and Willa Walker, discuss how they met through mutual friends over a decade ago and talk about what makes their relationship special and lasting.
“When meeting [her] … and our group of friends in the late ’90s, it was exciting and new for me,” Walker said. “[We grew] closer over the years, and it has been one of the best experiences of my life.”
