Babe Wine to Launch Pride 2020 With New Video

Babe Wine has launched Pride 2020 with a video celebrating LGBTQ+ and their support systems.

The video, which was released this morning on Babe’s social platforms, features parents of noted LGBTQ+ social media personalities offering love and support to their loved ones. Among the personalities featured are QWOC couple, Alayna and Taryn, known for their Instagram handle aretheysisters (#nowearenotsisters), and Aaron and Austin Rhodes, who famously came out to their father on YouTube in 2015. That video has since gone viral, garnering over 27 million views.

Visitors who view the new video on Babe’s social media platforms are encouraged to tag their own loved ones and supporters in the comments. Babe will donate $1 (up to $15,000 total) for each retweet on Twitter or comment on IG to three LGBTQ+ organizations: the Marsha P. Johnson Institute, The Center, and Love on a Mission, a safe haven for LGBTQ+ youth located in Central Ohio.

Mission’s founder and president, Deena Pfahler, is the mother of the Rhodes twins, and appears showing her love and support of her sons in the newly released video.

Babe Wine is part of the Swish Beverages brand, which was launched in 2015 by social media personality Josh Ostrovsky and David Oliver and Tanner Cohen, co-authors of the White Girl Problems Twitter feed and subsequent book series. The Babe sparkling wine in a can brand launched a year later with Babe Rose, followed by Babe White and Babe Red. “Babe” Walker is the pseudonym the Cohens and their co-author used for the White Girl Problems series.

In 2019, it was announced that Anheuser-Busch InBev had purchased Swish Beverages.
