When Agatha All Along first aired, fans were hoping that it would be as queer as the cast hinted it might be. Well, in the newest episode, it seems it’s been confirmed. (Spoilers ahead!!!) We know some characters, like Joe Locke’s Billy, are queer, but in Wednesday night’s episode, “Death’s Hand in Mine,” we finally got the confirmation we’ve been waiting for: Agatha Harkness (Kathryn Hahn) is queer!
In the episode, Agatha and Billy are walking down the Witch’s Road when Billy tries to dig a bit of information out of her. Agatha replies with her classic cryptic flair.
“Hey, you want straight answers, ask a straight lady,” Agatha says.

Hints of Agatha’s queerness have been sprinkled throughout previous episodes, particularly in moments with Rio (Aubrey Plaza), where the two almost kissed, reminisced about their scars, and hinted at some “old times” they’d shared.

the way agatha sits, very lesbian. the way rio says “that’s not why I came over”, very lesbian. the little pauses. the breathing. the way they look at each other. that’s screaming ex-lovers. i’m not saying they’re gay but actly yes i am. pic.twitter.com/hm0njrOwt6
Of course, the MCU has become known for not always delivering on its hints at queer representation, often leaving fans feeling let down. But with Agatha, it seems they might actually go all the way this time.
With only two episodes left, both airing next week on October 30—just in time for Halloween—fans are eager to see if Agatha and Death might finally lock lips. And not to get ahead of ourselves here, but someone found out an intimacy coordinator was hired for episode 8, so things might get seriously steamy.
