5 Lesbian Things To Do In New York City This Weekend

Dance parties, “queer Asian energy,” a benefit concert.

If you’re looking for lesbian Valentine’s Day events in NYC, we’ve got you covered elsewhere. If you’re looking for everything NOT related to the holiday, check out the events below.

Friday

Elixir: A Queer & Trans Asian Pacific Islander Happy Hour at Atlas Social Club (735 9th Ave.) at 7 p.m. — This regular happy hour meet-up takes place on the second and fourth Friday of every month. Enjoy two-for-one drinks and a supportive community in this place that’s “overflowing with queer Asian energy.”

Gay Asstrology at The Dance (428 Lafayette) at 10 p.m. — Gay Asstrology is an inclusive dance party for LGBTQIA+ people in L.A. They’re making their NYC debut with this Aquarius party at The Dance. Aquarians get in free; for everyone else, it’s $10 after 11 p.m.

Saturday

Be Cute at littlefield (635 Sackett St.) at 11 p.m. — This edition of Be Cute, a dance party for queers, is admittedly Valentines themed as “Be Cute + Be Mine,” but still, this is a regular dance party. Shows by Horrorchata, Charlene, Patti Spliff, and Lucy Balls… And a late-night makeout contest, which, yesss. Tickets are $10 presale, $15 at the door.

Sunday

Queer Girl on the Q Line Cocktail Party at Erv’s (2122 Beekman Pl.) at 4 p.m. — Celebrate the month of love with cocktails, wine, women and other delicacies (wink wink). No cover.

Queering the Canon: A Benefit Concert for Ring of Keys at Joe’s Pub at Public Theater (425 Lafayette St.) at 6 p.m. — Ring of Keys is the only network dedicated to promoting queer women, trans, and gender non-conforming artists in musical theater. They’re hosting a benefit concert in honor of their second anniversary, featuring a ton of performances and new music by queer women!
