5 Lesbian Things To Do In Los Angeles This Weekend

Drag kings, sound bath, fried chicken.

This weekend features some really unique-sounding lesbian events, Los Angeles folks! Enjoy.

Friday

Night of Queer Expression VI at Junior High (5656 Hollywood Blvd.) at 7 p.m. — Junior High, a community space showcasing young marginalized voices, is hosting a night of performances by young queer folks! Suggested fee is $5 to $10.

Saturday

Them Fatale: Drag King Show at Redline Gay Bar (131 E. 6th St.) at 6 p.m. — The fact that Queen Latifah is on the flyer for this event is a convincing enough reason to attend, no? Performances by seven drag kings and tunes by power lesbian DJ BBGURL.

Soundbath & Tea at Cuties L.A. (710 N. Heliotrope Dr.) at 7 p.m. — This soundbath healing event is specifically for QTBIPOC (that means Black and indigenous queer and trans folks, FYI). Bring a yoga mat.

Cloud Nine – Living In A State Of Dreaming at Ghost Gallery (3800 South Grand Ave #F) at 8 p.m. — The Luna Collective and Honeymoon present this magical femme-filled art show, featuring music, art, vendors, a DIY zine station, and a bar.

Sunday

Fried Chicken + Grits Dinner at ADORE (1733 N. New Hampshire Ave.) at 6 p.m. — ADORE LA is a queer community of faith where all are welcome, and they’re hosting a fried chicken and grits dinner on Sunday! (Maybe Finley will be there?)
