Friday

Pinche Queen Presents: softBUTCH at Redline Gay Bar (131 E. 6th St.) at 10 p.m. — Every Friday night, this dance party in DTLA draws queer and trans people of all genders. Drag shows at midnight.

Saturday

Queer Trans Asian Islanders 2020 New Year Parade at 11 a.m. — Welcome the Year of the Rat with the only LGBTQ contingent of the 2020 Golden Dragon Parade. Pre-parade party starts at the Courtyard of the Hall of Records (320 W. Temple St.) at 11 a.m., where you’ll also get instructions and materials.

Gun Violence is a Drag at Flaming Saddles West Hollywood (8811 Santa Monica Blvd.) at 1 p.m. — This drag show is for a good cause; the goal is to raise $5000 for a scholarship toward a young LGBTQ activist attending college.

Queer Latin Dance at Lumina Academy of Dance (1052 N. Allen Ave.) at 9 p.m. — Salsa and bachata dance class, drinks, snacks, and a special dance performance by an L.A. Latin dance performance team!

Sunday

Live Watercolor Portraits at Cuties L.A. (710 N. Heliotrope Dr.) — Get your portrait done in watercolor at L.A.’s only queer coffee shop by a cool queer Latinx painter! Only 12 spots available; sliding scale.
