‘Canada’s Drag Race’ Welcomes Bliss, Its New Sapphic Queen
“Shout out to my bisexuals, my lesbians because babe we made it and we’re about to snatch the crown.”
Today, Canada’s Drag Race dropped the Meet the Queens videos for the show’s seventh season. And while there was plenty of talent and exciting queens on display, one in particular is already pulling our focus and snatching our hearts. Snatching the crown? TBD. But Bliss definitely has our attention.
Originally from Ottawa, Ontario, and now based in British Columbia, this 25-year-old queen says she’s a showgirl, a comedy queen, and a proud trans woman. She’s also here repping not only for the T girls but for the sapphics, too!
“Shout out to my bisexuals, my lesbians, because babe, we made it and we’re about to snatch the crown,” she says in the Meet the Queens video.
Bliss says she’s the one to beat, and with her stunning looks (obviously), dancing and flipping skills, and comedy chops, she certainly seems ready to make her case. She’s been doing drag for just three and a half years, but she’s already proving to be a well-rounded queen.
With her background in illustration and a knack for fashion design, Bliss is a true DIY queen who makes her own looks and designs posters for her shows. She’s also a regular on the local drag scene, hosting shows and “serving face and style multiple times a week.”
Her Drag Race sisters from around the world are sharing their love in the comments, too. Fellow dolls Makayla Couture and Miss Jade So are calling for doll domination this season. And fellow Canada’s Drag Race alums are ready to see her wear the crown, with Kimmy Couture writing, “Crown her! Like I’m not even joking,” and Perla adding, “Just give her the crown. Put her on the billboards. We don’t deserve her.”
Whether all that adds up to a crown remains to be seen when the show returns on Nov. 19 on WOW Presents Plus. But we can’t help but wonder: Is it too early to be Team Bliss? Nah, we sapphics have got to stick together.
