Did Phoebe Bridgers Just Hint At Lucy Dacus and Julien Baker Getting Married?
A lyric on “Lost Weekend” has fans convinced that the two Boygenius members might be tying the knot.
Boygenius fans listen up! On Phoebe Bridgers’ latest album Lost Weekend fans are calling out a hint that her Boygenius bandmates, Julien Baker and Lucy Dacus are getting married, or as some suspect, are already married.
In Bridgers’ new track “Kill Me” she sings the line “Times are scary/My boys are getting married.” While Bridgers could of course be talking about any number of boys in her life, fans did connect the line to the fact that the three members of Boygenius have aways referred to each other as “the boys” or “my boys,” even playing Thin Lizzy’s “The Boys Are Back In Town” before taking the stage every night on their last tour. Because Dacus and Baker confirmed their relationship in 2025, fans have excitedly speculated that the line is hinting at a possible marriage between the two.

Even the Genius lyrics page has been changed, with fans adding in the speculated context behind the line.

The theory is bolstered further by the fact that at Dacus’ recent appearance at Outside Lands Music Festival, she invited Baker out to sing her song “Bullseye” and fans noticed the couple were both wearing wedding-style rings on their ring fingers. Fans have pointed out that the pair has been seen wearing these rings for over a year and because the album did take Bridgers six years to make, the timeline that they are already married is not entirely impossible.

While none of this really confirms that Dacus and Baker have tied the knot, fans are still eating up the boys contributions to Bridgers album and eagerly eating up whatever relationship crumbs they can get.
