NYC Pride, organizer of NYC’s legendary main Pride March, has unveiled its theme for 2026: “For All of Us.” These words, thoughtfully chosen by community members, reference a quote widely attributed to LGBTQIA+ activist and Stonewall veteran Marsha P. Johnson: “There is no pride for some of us without liberation for all of us.”

“This year’s theme seeks to welcome LGBTQIA+ individuals everywhere to join us as we honor the legacy of the very first NYC Pride March in 1970, which commemorated the one-year anniversary of the Stonewall Uprising,” NYC Pride | Heritage of Pride shared as it released the news. “As our trans and non-binary siblings face a growing wave of hateful attacks at every level of government, this year’s theme recalls the queer trailblazers who came before us — and centers the ongoing fight on the most marginalized among us.”

With Pride events facing economic and political threats in many regions, NYC Pride | Heritage of Pride intends to serve as a hub for local LGBTQIA+ populations to have a safe space to celebrate community.

“LGBTQ+ Pride events are under attack around the world, but NYC is determined to march on,” said Im Lynde, NYC Pride Executive Director. “We invite our LGBTQIA+ community from near and far to join us in the birthplace of Pride as we continue the fight for LGBTQIA+ equality — for all of us.”

While there’s no denying the threats faced by the LGBTQ+ community, organizers have a message: Our queer elders fought for the fight to march — and we owe it to their legacy to make sure the march endures for queer generations to come.

In addition to the annual NYC Pride March, the 2026 NYC Pride calendar includes PrideFest, the largest LGBTQIA+ street festival in the U.S., on Sunday, June 28, 2026. NYC Pride’s other core event, Youth Pride, returns to the South Street Seaport (Piers 16 & 17) on Saturday, June 27, 2026. Other NYC Pride events will be announced in the 2026 Pride Guide, which will be available at nycpride.org/Pride-Guide on Thursday, May 22, 2026.
