Lesbians, rejoice! “The L Word: Generation Q” has been picked up for a third season!
Deadline reports that the show, which wrapped up its second season last fall, will return for a 10-episode run sometime next year. Original series cast members Jennifer Beals, Leisha Hailey, and Katherine Moenning will return for the third season, along with “Gen Q” newcomers Jordan Hull, Arienne Mandi, Sepideh Moafi, Leo Sheng, Jacqueline Toboni, and Rosanny Zayas.
“See you soon!” Hailey, who plays beloved character Alice on the show, told fans on Instagram. “So excited.”
The announcement is no doubt welcome news to the cast and crew of the show, as well as the many fans who are looking forward to how all those Season 2 finale cliffhangers will be resolved. Here are a few pressing questions we’ll hopefully get an answer to in the upcoming season:
Will Tom propose to Alice (remember, she found the ring in his jacket – and didn’t look too thrilled!)?
Will Shane and Tess stay together?
Will Finley get sober – and make things work with Sophie?
How long will Dani remain in police custody after failing to testify at her father’s trial (and will Gigi forgive her for getting hauled off in cuffs during the family dinner)?
Will Bette and Tina really get back together? (And if so, can we still see more of Rosie O’Donnell?)
Here’s to hoping we’re blessed with some satisfying resolutions to these and all our questions in 2022.
