“Orange is the New Black” star Taryn Manning is engaged to girlfriend, Anne Cline, who proposed during a performance in Panama City.
In video footage that has been obtained by TMZ, Cline — who’d been performing with her band in a local venue in Panama City on June 11 — is seen hopping down from the stage to join Manning, who is in the audience. Cline then gets down on one knee and opens what appears to be a small ring box as onlookers clap and shout.
Although Manning’s verbal response isn’t caught on the video, a kiss exchanged between the pair after Cline presents the ring prompts the venue’s MC to declare, “I guess that’s a yes!” Afterward, Cline slips the ring onto Manning’s finger. The crowd breaks into more applause as the MC prompts them to “Make some noise!”
Manning, 42, portrayed the “Orange is the New Black” character Tiffany Doggett, a homophobic antagonist in season 1 who becomes more sympathetic in later seasons and a friend of Big Boo (played by Lea DeLaria). Cline, 31, leads the band, Cline Street.
The couple is thrilled, a rep for Manning told TMZ. Manning added, “It was the easiest YES I ever said!”
