If you are anything like the GO writers, you have been dying to know how our OG faves and new loves will seal their queer fates after the dramatic finale of “The L Word: Generation Q” Season 2. Now, we know exactly how long we must eagerly wait, pine, and long (all the things queer women have Master’s Degrees in) for the new season. The official “L Word” Instagram casually dropped a post yesterday containing a vital date scribbled on a sticky note attached to episode 301’s script: 11.18.22.
So there you have it, babes. November is officially the month of all things “Gen Q.” Late last month, fans were thrilled to learn that Kehlani will be joining the cast for this new season. The out singer/songwriter announced the news on their Instagram feed in a post that featured a video clip montage of Kehlani with a caption for the show emblazoned in the lower right corner, along with an explanatory message: “from [binging] @sho_thelword to guest starring on #TheLWord. See you for Season 3!”
In addition to a new babe entering the “L Word” universe, fans are also looking forward to getting closure (another thing queer women have a Master’s Degree in, AMIRITE?) for all the cliffhangers that season 2 left us with. What happens with Bette and Tina? Does Alice get engaged? Does Shane make it work with Tess? Has anyone checked on Finn?!
In an early June press release, we received confirmation that our burning questions re: the character’s messy love lives will be answered: “In season two, Bette (Beals) dealt with Tina (guest star Laurel Holloman) and Carrie’s (guest star Rosie O’Donnell) engagement, and daughter Angie’s (Hull) search for her birth father; Shane (Moennig) ramped up her business and her feelings for Tess (Jamie Clayton); and hot new author Alice (Hailey) wrestled with her own complicated feelings for her book editor. Meanwhile, a newly single Dani (Mandi) leaned on Gigi (Moafi) during her father’s trial; Finley (Toboni) and Sophie (Zayas) tried hard to make it work despite Finley’s spiraling addiction; and friends Micah (Sheng) and Maribel (Jillian Mercado) fell hard for each other. What results of all these complex affairs of life and love will be revealed in season three.”
What are your predictions? Lez us know in the comments! HAPPY (almost) “L WORD: GENERATION Q” MONTH!
