Sabrina Carpenter Covers Chappell Roan’s ‘Good Luck Babe’

Admit it — we’ve all been practicing our rendition of ‘Good Luck, Babe’ by Chappell Roan to impress everyone at karaoke night. It turns out Sabrina Carpenter has been doing the same thing.

During Carpenter’s performance at the BBC Radio One’s Live Lounge, she covered ‘Good Luck, Babe’ in a way that induces full-body chills. She starts the song slowly in her signature alto-range before matching Roan’s soprano range and intensity for the chorus and that bridge that makes us all want to scream-cry.

Lesbians and WLW everywhere are losing their minds over this stunning cover and Carpenter’s flawless vocals — just in time for Pride month!

“OH MY GODDDD this is iconic. as a lesbian (who is absolutely in love with sabrina and chappell) im so happy chappell is getting recognition like this. i love that they’re friends too and planned this together, so cute i love them both,” wrote one fan in the video’s comment section.

“Chappell really meant it when she said “I’m your favorite artist’s favorite artist” because all these bigger artists are singing her songs and saying they have her songs on repeat,” wrote another.

Fans also picked up on the country-esque twist Carpenter put on the song, making them hopeful that she’ll put out a country crossover album.

The most comforting part of this cover is the fact that these two icons are blowing up at the same time, and instead of being pitted against each other, they openly and actively lift each other up.

“I just haven’t stopped listening to this song since it came out. I’m a huge fan of Chappell’s and we wanted to put our own little twist on it,” said Carpenter.
