From remote dance parties to lesbian podcasts, here are 7 things to do in QUEERantine this weekend.

Every Friday, GO Mag rounds up local lesbian events in various cities around the country. But now every event has been canceled and we’re all stuck in our houses, thanks to the coronavirus pandemic. But that doesn’t mean there aren’t still lesbian things to do… indoors!

From remote dance parties to queer podcasts, here are 7 things to do in ~queerantine~ this weekend — because self-isolating, quarantining, or social distancing are the responsible things to do right now.

Quarantine & Chill: Streaming Queer Flicks

If you’re having trouble picking which queer films to binge this weekend, let the folks at Transcend the Binary do the work for you. They’re streaming queer movies and TV shows all weekend, from Friday, March 20 through Saturday, March 21. You don’t need a Netflix subscription to tune in. Check out the event page for the full schedule and details! Free.

EQUINOX: A Remote Dance Party by Ascendance

Ascendance is a monthly queer-friendly, BIPOC-centered, astrology-themed dance party in New Orleans which GO Mag recently covered because they’re so awesome. Thanks to coronavirus, the parties are now moving online — so anyone can join in, no matter where you live. EQUINOX will take place on Saturday, March 21 at 11 p.m. CST. You’ll need the Zoom app to join in, and the link to the Zoom group will posted on their Instagram page. Free; donations suggested.

Heatwave Queer Virtual Dance Party

Heatwave is a weekly dance party, also in New Orleans. This Saturday, March 21 at 8:15 p.m. CST, they’re hosting an online virtual dance party for the queer community. You’ll also need the Zoom app to join in, and there will be different rooms available for different purposes, including chatting, art, and dancing. One room will feature a live DJ spinning music. Free.

Online Queer Yoga and Meditation

Many yoga and meditation studios are moving their classes to online-only formats. That means you can now access so many more offerings from all around the country, making it easier than ever to find queer-centered classes. Queer Yoga Church, based in Portland, offers an all-level class on Sunday at 9:30 a.m. PST via Zoom. For QTPOC, InsightLA is offering a meditation group for people of color on Sunday, March 22 at 6:30 p.m. PST via Zoom.

Virtual Queer Country Line Dance Night

Queer country lovers who love to line dance, there will be a virtual line dance night on Saturday, March 21 at 7 p.m. EST, hosted by Bob Sweeney! About eight line dances will be featured over the course of two hours. Free.

Femme Church

Yet another cool NOLA event that’s moving to live stream, Femme Church celebrates femme musicians and takes place at a gorgeous church-turned-event-venue. This event’s featured artist is free feral, a QTPOC string player and composer from California and based in New Orleans. Watch the live stream here on Friday, March 20 at 7:30 p.m. CST. Free; donations suggested.

Big Dyke Energy

If you’d rather chill and listen to podcasts during your quarantine, may we suggest Big Dyke Energy? Hosts Gala Mukomolova and Rose Blakelock discuss astrology and queer culture and pop culture, and as we all know, lesbians love astrology. You will learn so much! Listen on Anchor here or on Spotify here.
