The Weekend Soiree Presents Lez B Honest NYC is a World Pride Comedy Showcase for dope Queer womxn! The line-up features Queer Comedy Queens Eman El-Husseini, Ebony ‘Like Dat’ Toliver, Sophie Santos, Glo Butler, and Crist Guzman!

EMAN EL-HUSSEINI

Since her comedy debut Eman El-Husseini has racked up an impressive list of credits. Traveling across Canada, the U.S and the Middle East she covers a wide range of topics, from how lesbians are the new gentlemen to her parents’ wedding anniversary landing on, you guessed it, September 11th.

A media darling of sorts, Eman has been featured in major Canadian newspapers such as The National Post, The Toronto Star and The Montreal Gazette. She has also appeared regularly on radio stations such as CJAD, CBC, and CKUT. Her TV credits include a half hour comedy special on CTV, Comedy Network and the iChannel.

She has just launched the *podcast Unheard Of: Sex, Religion and Politics at the Dinner Table. Interviewing a wide range of ordinary people with unconventional lives.

EBONY ‘LIKE DAT’ TOLIVER

Originally from Maryland, Ebony ‘LikeDat’ Toliver began her comedy career in Los Angeles. Since 2014, Ebony has performed all over the Los Angeles area, including The IceHouse in Pasadena, The World Famous Comedy Store on Sunset, Flappers in Burbank and the famous Comedy Union Comedy Club where she produces her own all queer comedy show, LezBHonest. She is currently touring with her LezBHonest comedy brand, recently performing in Florida and Washington D.C. Be sure check her out in a city near you. Ebony founded her production company, LikeDat Productions, to provide a platform for artists and entertainers from underrepresented, marginalized groups, especially the LGBTQ community.

SOPHIE SANTOS

Sophie Santos is a Brooklyn based comedian who Time Out NY recently named as one of the LGBTQ POC comedians you should know. She currently hosts the monthly show The Lesbian Agenda at Union Hall. She has written for MTV and BRIC TV and can also be seen in Handmaid’s Tale: The Musical and Riverdale Live. Sophie has performed at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival and The Kennedy Center.

GLO BUTLER

Originally from Charleston, South Carolina, Glo Butler started comedy in DC then moved to Brooklyn, NY. Since then she’s been featured on Wendy Williams, as well as hosts and produces a monthly comedy show in Brooklyn called, “Glo In There City Live.“ This show is based of her comedic web series “Glo in the City,” which is featured on IMDb, funny or Die, and YouTube. Glo has performed all over the country and was most recently featured in the New York Comedy Fest and Black Women In Comedy Festival. She was also listed as one of Time Out Mag’s 2019 “LGBTQ POC Comedians You Should Know.”

CRIST GUZMAN

Born & raised in Dallas, TX, Crist Guzman attended American Broadcasting School. Shortly after working behind the scenes at Power 108 in Waco, she developed and operated her own radio show, “This & That” so she could be behind the mic. The stage soon came calling in 2015. Hitting the Dallas scene, she has performed at Hyenas, Hat Tricks & Dallas Comedy House. Her brand of comedy includes hilarious tales of marriage & family that “almost” everyone can relate to. She can also be seen making guest appearances alongside the great Poppy Champlin & joining the Queer Queens of Qomedy on the Texas leg of their tour. Crist has performed at Chicago Women’s Funny Festival, Memphis Urban Laughs Comedy Festival and also shared the stage with Gina Yashere at Magooby’s Jokehouse in Baltimore.
