Valhalla Women’s Week, a new venture produced by Maggie C. Events, Pandora Events and GO Magazine, aims to create a lesbian heaven on Earth on Vieques, the spectacularly scenic and secluded island off the coast of Puerto Rico. Seven hundred gorgeous women will descend upon the magnificant Vieques W Retreat and Spa for an unprecedented, women-only island escape.

The producers sought to develop a boutique vacation experience for women in a relatively undiscovered locale. “We were interested in how events like Aqua Girl, Dinah Shore and the Women’s White Party could translate into a more intimate, exclusive vacation package for women,” says Pandora Events’ Alison Burgos. “We were drawn to the idea of a fashionable and upscale event.” Last August, Maggie C. of Maggie C. Events and a scouting party of 10 curious women visited the Vieques W Retreat and Spa to sample the facilities. The unspoiled miles of pristine private beaches and luxurious appointments of the resort convinced them Vieques was the place. “It was so incredibly relaxing,” says Maggie. “The service is amazing and the amenities are unparalleled.”
Guests will arrive at Vieques’ Antonio Rivera Rodriguez Airport, where they can refresh with a cocktail at the W Welcome Lounge before going ahead to the resort. Just a three minute ride from the airport, the Vieques W Retreat and Spa gives guests a warm and friendly island welcome as they settle into their ultra-modern accommodations.
Valhalla Women’s Week will encompass the entire resort, and only Valhalla guests will be privy to the fabulous amenities that the brand-new property offers. The W’s 155 oversized rooms range from the comfortably plush Wonderful Room to the aptly-named Spectacular Room. All accommodations feature ocean views from private balconies or terraces.
