The Dinah Lineup: G Flip, Princess Nokia

July 11, 2023

G Flip, Princess Nokia, Oh My!

The Dinah is known for its epic musical headliners, featuring both mainstream and about-to-blow-up queer artists. Its 32nd anniversary will follow that tradition by bringing some of the best famous and queer under-the-radar buzz artists to The Dinah stage.

This September, queer women and their community from across the world will make their annual pilgrimage to Palm Springs for the world’s biggest, largest, and most renowned annual music festival for queer women, The Dinah. This year’s festivities will take place at Palm Springs’ iconic hotel, the Margaritaville Resort and Spa.

From September 20th through the 24th, guests will be immersed in the legendary Dinah experience: surrounded by community, sun, pride, parties, and of course, music.

“The Dinah is as much about celebrating our queerness unfiltered and in the most authentic way as it is about elevating the inspiring new young queer voices of the moment – the queer idols of tomorrow – who are bettering the lives of the LGBTQ+ community and allies around the world,” Mariah Hanson, founder and producer of The Dinah, said in a press release.

Making their highly expected Dinah debut is a new generation of queer artists bubbling up and developing new sounds defining the major music trends. The future is queer!

Artists include Princess Nokia, Doechii, Black Box, Phem, G Flip, and Xana.

Princess Nokia will headline on Saturday night, September 23. The Harlem-born rapper, self-proclaimed “disruptor”, Arista signee rose to fame with her 2017 studio album 1992 Deluxe.

Doechii has performed at The Dinah and is back again to take centerstage as the headliner on Friday night, September 22. Doechii went viral in 2021 with her song “Yucky Blucky Fruitcake.”

Black Box will keep the party going Friday night with their iconic dance music. Black Box have been keeping us dancing over 30 years with their dance floor staples “Everybody Everybody”, “Ride on Time”, “Strike It Up”, “I don’t know anybody else”, and “Fantasy.”

Phem is scheduled to perform poolside Saturday September 22. The LA native singer/songwriter has been featured in Billboard, Rolling Stone, Galore, 1883, and Euphoria magazines as an ever-rising icon within the alternative space.

The iconic G Flip will kick off the pool party on Friday. G Flip sold out Australian headline tours, major festivals and US tours supporting Fletcher and K.Flay. They recently won MTV’s EMA award for Best Australian Act for the second year in a row, appeared on The L Word: Generation Q with their partner Chrishell Stause and co-hosted and performed at the closing ceremony of Sydney World Pride.

Xana, another captivating queer rising pop powerhouse and Latvian-born New York based lesbian fashion model turned pop star Keeana Kee will keep the Sunday pool party sweating.

2023 is is going to be an epic year for The Dinah. See you there!
